Best place we stayed! Could probably get better beds/mattresses.
I specifically wanted to find a place that had a view of the Mediterranean. This was the most incredible view we had on our entire trip. The room was clean and beautiful. I think I had the best shower of my entire life here. The water pressure was amazing.
This is a place you can stay that actually has a lot of history! It wasn't one time a monastery and it's a beautiful example of handcrafted wood, art, and Victorian era pieces of furniture. There were such beautiful pieces in there and it was like staying in a museum! We love going to museums and this was no exception. It was so incredible. There's a rooftop terrace that overlooks the bay of Naples. You can see from Sorrento to Naples and feel like you have a front seat. Views during the night time and daytime are incredible and you can even see Mount Vesuvius. Our particular room was a corner room and we had both views. We loved staying here. The service was also incredible. The reception was extremely helpful. There are only a few restaurants in the area and we went to Sorrento for a brighter nightlife. This isn't a very quiet area and if you're looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this is a perfect place to stay! Their gardens are also beautiful and calming to be in. Away from the chaos of the city. It was hard to get there and we probably should have just gotten a taxi. The bus looks like it gets there, but we could not find the right bus and the buses there are very different than anywhere else.
We ended up walking from the tram station. The tram station is about a 12-minute walk downhill from the tram. It's uphill to the tram and takes a little more time. With suitcases we didn't want to drag, we carried most of the way. We loved this area and found the nicest people here.
This place is most romantic! Beautiful building, manicured gardens, good service. Drinks on the terrace served with the delicious little snacks were fantastic. Dinner (we tried the set menu) was a bit meh. There’s a lovely beach nearby where we went every day. Train station is 20 min walk or a quick taxi ride.
I spent a restful weekend at Villa Crawford at the close of September. The staff are the jewel of the place. Everybody remarks upon how welcoming, friendly and helpful they are. They really do go above and beyond what you might expect from …
We are a family of four and the hotel has a nice room setup for sleeping four people comfortably. The hotel gardens and overall property were very nice. The room was quiet and comfortable with a nice balcony and outdoor seating area. They …
Villa Crawford is an incredible place to stay. If you’re looking for sea views without paying through the nose, definitely consider this place. The rooms are very basic, and the bed isn’t the most comfortable - however we didn’t leave this place resenting that at all, as the outlook for your morning, your evening cocktail and your breakfast is just incredible.
We only stayed for one night during a road trip and we were very very happy with our stay, however I understand if you’re looking to be in Sorrento for longer, you’d probably want more from the room. If you’re looking for a sumptuous bed and luxuries, this isn’t the place for you, but if you find the real luxury in the peace, quiet, and natural landscape, you’ll love it.
The hotel is about 25 mins walk from Sorrento town.
Beautiful converted monastery. Lots of religious art. We had an incredible view from our room. Incredible garden areas and views around the building. Included breakfast was very good.
Villa Crawford has the most spectacular views and a location to compare with Sorrento hotels costing many hundreds of euros a night more than the rooms here cost. We booked a double room with sea view in the main building and it was so …
The accommodation was like being in a horror movie. A shack at the back of the grounds. ripped wallpaper, one bedside cabinet, sockets not working, a squashed room with no facilities. (wanted to charge £25 a day to change rooms) Linen was …
